Are you not feeling like yourself or struggling with a health condition? Let’s figure out what you need and get you some help.
It’s time to take your health into your own hands.
Answer this: What are your symptoms and signs? Have you journaled them yet? Journaling can help you see associations between your symptoms and your lifestyle. Maybe you’ve been under a lot of pressure or stress, or maybe you’re going through a life-changing event. Whatever it is, take some time to figure out what might be causing, exacerbating, or helping your symptoms. Think like a detective on a hunt for clues.
How healthy are you in general? Are you very healthy, mostly healthy, have other acute or chronic illnesses, or have an advanced chronic disease? The less healthy you are, the more likely medical care will be a good first step, at least to rule out the scary stuff and see if you can get some kind of diagnosis so you know what might be the issue. Then, think about how holistic and complementary therapies, alongside lifestyle interventions, might help the root cause. If there’s a stress trigger, you should see some correlations between time and symptom occurrence.
Lifestyle and complementary approaches often work synergistically and turn a condition around. If it’s more serious, you may need more interventions alongside medical care, it just depends. But think about your options and what you can try in all three areas, medical, complementary, and lifestyle, and start by trying one or two for a set period of time, like six weeks. Journal throughout and notice any changes with the interventions. Be like a scientist and analyze the results.
If you find interventions are working, you’re onto something. See if you can compound and accelerate the positive turn with different lifestyle and complementary approaches, such as diet and sleep.
